And as readers of my blog know, I’m a ‘split personality’ who loves a Chocolate Lab and a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel with equal ferocity.

Believe it or not a chocolate lab came up for me! hahaha! Bernese Mountain Dog (which I love but NO WAY are low maintenance in the health dept!) and Brittany Spaniel (never happening) got honorable mention. I laughed out loud when the picture of the lab popped up!
That is great, Kath! When it’s right, it’s right. I, too, really like Bernese Mountain Dogs–every one I’ve ever met has been very sweet, but didn’t realize that they had such troubles in the health department. That’s a shame. And I’m right there with ya on the Brittany Spaniel. My dad had several as hunting dogs when I was a kid and they were hyper beyond belief. He loved them, but they just weren’t my cup of tea. They didn’t seem interested in cuddling, and that’s what I was all about. 🙂
We almost got a Bernese but our vet raised them and said that honestly only vets should own them because they almost 100% of the time need their hips replaced! Took a pass on that one! And every Brittany I’ve known was hyper and nippy. No thanks! Yup, labs work for me!
